Description
I love the sea turtles and on this painting I did the subject matter with a little twist.
Generally, the mother makes her way from the ocean to the shore, laying eggs near the dune line then departs back to the ocean. From what I undertand, the eggs hatch near or during a full moon and use the light from the moon as a beacon to guide them on they're journey from the nest to the water.
The full moon is out in this piece but maybe hidden from cloud cover. A second source of guiding light appears as a fire fly ready to take this new little guy to his new home.
